I perform over 200 concerts per year and it's an incredibly exciting part of my career. Of equal importance is my work in music education. I have taught at Columbia University, Hofstra University, Purchase College and through various notable arts institutions including Carngie Hall and New York Philharmonic.
I currently teach at The Juilliard School, where I work with extremely talented students in the Pre-College Division. Every year I am privileged to teach wonderful kids from 7th to 12th grade. Most of these students enroll in the finest universities and music conservatories in the U.S.A. It's a pleasure to work with them, and see their meteoric success.
In addition, I have a new, modern teaching studio in my home, where students can study the same information they would obtain in a world class music conservatory, on a wide range of percussion instruments, such as keyboard percussion, timpani, snare drum, drum set, hand drums, multiple percussion and more.
I am pleased to announce that I am a registered BOCES artist. I am fingerprinted, insured and ready to meet your amazing students. I'm available to answer any questions and work to customize my program for your school.

I've been fortunate to travel throughout the United States of America and abroad, presenting classical percussion and hand drumming master classes in China, at major music conservatories in America, at the Juilliard Summer Percussion Seminar, at the Purchase College Summer Percussion Seminar, at the Music For All National Festival and at PAS events, among others. It's always a great pleasure to meet and hear new students! Please contact me to set up a class.
If you're very far, send me an email and we can connect for a lesson via Skype. I have been doing this internationally and in the USA, and I can tell you that it has been quite effective. I admit that I was doubting the effectiveness of online lessons... until I started them. It really works.
I'm pleased to announce that I just finished a set of accompaniment tracks to some of the most popular snare drum etudes in the world. Why? Like many of you, I've practiced these for hours, weeks, and years and, while I enjoy the challenge, sometimes you just need to have fun and play music. The audio and score to Accompaniment Music for Solo Snare Drum, Vol. 1 are now available. Click here to purchase the audio and here to purchase the score. You can purchase my first book, Snare Drum Technique: Essential Exercises for Daily Practice, here.
What Educators are Saying
“I would highly recommend this program for other school districts. We are looking forward to having Pablo back to work with our music students in the fall. The program was broad enough to appeal to the varied interests in our music classes and everyone was involved. The students had a blast interacting with Pablo, asking questions and learning about the foundations of rhythm.”
